Training Tracker

Introduction

All Employers pay 1% of salary (PAYE) every month to the South African Revenue Services (SARS) as a skills levy. This money is divided so that each SETA gets 80% of the money paid by the employers in its sector.

The SETA uses a percentage of the money for grants. There are two types of grants i.e. those that are based on the levy paid by employers and discretionary cash grants. Employers receive back as a grant a percentage of the levy that they have paid.

An employer can recover in grants a percentage of the levy paid out on condition that the employer concerned meet all the requirements as set out in the regulations and guidelines for the disbursement of funds.

Training Tracker will assist you to meet these requirements. Training Tracker is an easy-to-use software package, which will assist you to plan and monitor employee training.
